In Mens Competitions, our Redlands Mens 1st Grade had the measure of South Brisbane Mens 1st Grade on Saturday.
With the bat first up, we compiled 8/306 from 50 overs. James Bazley's 78 off 73 balls was a half-century to remember. Jack Sinfield brought up a good half-century, finishing with 60 off 59 balls. Luke Wegner bowled well for South Brisbane Mens 1st Grade, taking three for 59.
We bowled our opponents out for 215 in 44.1 overs. Lucky Peterson posted 59 for the visitors, a quality fifty. Sinfield was the pick of the bowlers, taking three for 40 off ten overs. Bazley chipped in with two for 36.
Our bowlers led the way on the day. That's the first win of the season for the team. Onwards and upwards.
