Saturday didn't go our way, as our Redlands Mens 2nd Grade were unable to stop Gold Coast Mens 2nd Grade on home soil.
With the bat, we made 232; Gold Coast Mens 2nd Grade made 263. Take a bow, Carter Pearson: a great 125 off 209 balls with ten fours and four sixes. Jasper Sumner also got among the runs with 34 off 153 balls. Kane Hurley claimed four for 43 for our opponents.
Pearson tore through the batting order, taking five for 56. Sumner offered good support with two for 53. Samuel Willis made a polished 52 for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century. Fifty for Brody Felton, who made 50 for our opponents.
Credit to the visitors, who played well. We will be looking to get back in the winning column soon. Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
