Our Redlands Mens 6th Grade had to settle for a loss as they went down to Northern Suburbs Mens 6th Grade on a day that didn't go our way.
Northern Suburbs Mens 6th Grade made 7/316, and we made 4/255. Kaleb de Winnaar was the star with the bat, compiling a brilliant 166 off 178 balls with 28 fours. Reuben Collett passed fifty on the way to 51 off 88 balls with three fours.
Leonard Ayres bowled beautifully to finish with two for 41. Michael Hall posted 76 for the hosts, a polished fifty. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Patrick Hopes, who made 75 not out.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
Credit to the hosts, and well played.
