It was a day to regroup for our Redlands Tigers 2 Over 40's, who were bested by Wynnum Manly Over 40s with lessons to take away.
We batted first and put 7/123 on the board from 20 overs. Shaun Blake played a polished hand of 40 off 32 balls. Gareth Smith chipped in with 32. Credit to Justin Poole, who took three for 9 for Wynnum Manly Over 40s.
In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 5/124 in 18.2 overs. Scott Read posted 50 for the visitors, a stylish fifty.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
We'll go again.
