It just wasn't our day: our Redlands Tigers Maroon had to give best to Souths Magpies Open Womens away from home.
First up, Souths Magpies Open Womens made 9/226 from 35 overs. Tvisha Solanki was not out on 43 for our opponents. Piper Veivers added 38 for the hosts. Bonnie Saunders grabbed two for 33.
Chasing 227, we reached 9/148 from 35 overs. Evie Massingham brought up a quality half-century, finishing with 69 not out off 88 balls. Credit to Clara Kirk, who took four for 25 for our opponents.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around.
Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
