At Peter Burge Oval, our Redlands Womens 2nd Grade prevailed over Western Suburbs Womens 2nd Grade in Womens Competitions.
Western Suburbs Womens 2nd Grade set the target, making 7/170 from 40 overs. Fifty for Georgia Black, who made 74 for our opponents. Hasita Gandhi grabbed two for 16.
In reply, the girls reached the target at 4/171 in 32.1 overs. A classy 58 not out off 95 balls from Quin Whitchurch was the highlight. Elisha Ayson's 55 off 42 balls was a half-century to remember.
With wickets in hand, the chase was superbly managed. A first win of the season, and hopefully the first of many.
Well played, all.
