Despite some good moments, our Redlands Mens 1st Grade couldn't get past University of Queensland Mens 1st Grade at home on Saturday.
With the bat, we made 10/203; University of Queensland Mens 1st Grade made 5/263. Jack Sonter's 55 not out off 47 balls was a half-century to remember. Sam Heazlett made a cracking 52 off 69 balls, a well-made fifty. Brayden Meegama bowled well for our opponents, taking three for 33.
James Pullar was the pick of the bowlers, taking two for 52 off ten overs. Max Clayton made a good 74 not out for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
The results haven't gone our way lately, but the team will keep at it. Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
