It was a tough day out for our Redlands Mens 6th Grade, who couldn't get past University of Queensland (2) Mens 6th Grade in one to put behind us.
In terms of totals, it was Redlands Mens 6th Grade 10/247 and University of Queensland (2) Mens 6th Grade 7/377. Louis Sivewright brought up a classy half-century, finishing with 91 off 87 balls. Kai Bateup added a useful 41 off 42 balls. Max Gadd took a six-wicket haul for the hosts, finishing with six for 74.
Noah Souter was the pick of our bowlers with three for 91. Vishvanth Veera kumar made a fine 103 not out for our opponents, a century worth applauding. Christopher Shield passed fifty for the hosts, finishing with 73.
Credit to our opponents, who played well.
Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
