It was a disappointing outing for our Redlands Mens 5th Grade, who had to give best to Sandgate-Redcliffe Mens 5th Grade on a frustrating day.
Sandgate-Redcliffe Mens 5th Grade's innings ended at 225, ours at 6/61. Jye Coop's 24 off 20 balls was the highlight with the bat. Cooper Wyllie was the main threat for the hosts, taking four for 20.
Phoenix Zeller was the hero with the ball, claiming a five-wicket haul (five for 47). Joshua Claude Millard bowled beautifully for two for 44. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Henry Patrick, who made 98.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. A tough stretch, and one the team will be determined to end.
The boys will be keen to bounce back.
