Saturday belonged to our Redlands Mens 1st Grade, who thumped University of Queensland Mens 1st Grade in Mens Competitions.
We batted first and put 9/246 on the board from 50 overs. Fifty for Leigh Drennan, who finished with 92 off 96 balls. Lachlan McClure's 65 off 77 balls was a half-century to remember. Jack Sonter provided good support with 39. University of Queensland Mens 1st Grade's best with the ball was Matt Willans (four for 30).
We bowled our opponents out for 133 in 35.5 overs. Credit to Donal Whyte, who made 32 for the hosts. A six-wicket haul to Thomas Town, who finished with six for 29 off 8.5 overs.
It was a cracking all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up.
That's a fourth straight win. A superb effort from the team.
