It just wasn't our day: our Redlands Mens 5th Grade went down against Western Suburbs (2) Mens 5th Grade on Saturday at Ron Field Oval.
Western Suburbs (2) Mens 5th Grade batted first and put 5/206 on the board from 40 overs. Rian Davies made a stylish 62 not out for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century. Bailee Brown added a handy 48 for our opponents. Patrick Schofield was the pick of the bowlers, taking two for 39 off eight overs.
In reply, we finished on 141 from 36.5 overs. Leading the way was Danny Levan with 25 off 41 balls. Phoenix Zeller chipped in with 22. The visitors' Kyle Osmond was the standout with the ball, taking five for 33.
It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around. The boys will be keen to bounce back.
