It just wasn't our day: our Redlands Mens 5th Grade went under to Toombul Mens 5th Grade on a day to learn from.
With the bat first up, we compiled 8/184 from 40 overs. Fifty for Rajinder Kumar, who finished with 57 off 57 balls. Solid support came from Kaleb de Winnaar, who made 37.
In reply, Toombul Mens 5th Grade passed our total, finishing on 7/188 in 36.3 overs. Alister Bauer posted 74 for the visitors, a fine fifty. Noah Souter was the pick of our bowlers with three for 16. Shane Beu bowled nicely for two for 43.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
Well played to our opponents.
